Moll Canal provides boat access to Lac Des Allemands, a 12,000-acre lake in southeastern Louisiana near Edgard. The launch features a two-lane concrete ramp with paved parking, making it a convenient entry point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The ramp is located in Bayou des Allemands at the east end of the US Highway 90 Bridge, in the southeast section of the lake.
Lac Des Allemands is a popular recreational destination with approximately 50 miles of shoreline offering ample space for paddling, fishing, and pleasure boating. The lake is particularly known among anglers for crappie fishing, but also supports bass and other freshwater species. Paddlers will find calm, protected water suitable for kayaking and canoeing, with multiple boat launch options available on both the main lake and tributaries if you want to explore beyond the immediate launch area.
