About This Access Site
Mono Pond is a 102-acre man-made lake located in Columbia, CT, offering convenient public boat access via a state-owned ramp on the northern end of the pond. The ramp is situated just south of Route 138 (Voluntown Road) and provides year-round access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The launch area includes a turning area and parking facilities with no parking fees.

The pond features mostly undeveloped shoreline, particularly along the eastern side, making it suitable for paddling exploration. A dam at the northern end forms the lake's boundary. The calm, enclosed waters of this 102-acre pond make it ideal for recreational paddling, fishing, and leisurely boating. Nearby Mansfield Hollow Lake offers additional recreation options in the region for those seeking alternative launch sites.
