Monroe Canal Marina

Monroe Canal Marina is a full-service boat launch facility located in St. James City on Pine Island, offering convenient access to some of Southwest Florida's most popular paddling and fishing destinations. The ramp provides straightforward access to Pine Island Sound, Matlacha Pass, the nearby beaches of Sanibel Island, and the Caloosahatchee River. The facility features dedicated parking for vehicles and trailers, with 24-hour parking available for $15 per vehicle.

This is an excellent launch point for kayakers and canoeists exploring the calm, shallow waters of Monroe Canal and the surrounding network of mangrove-lined waterways. From here, paddlers can access the Pine Island National Wildlife Refuge and Matlacha Pass National Wildlife Refuge, both offering opportunities to observe wildlife in natural mangrove habitat.
