Located at 825 Moody Lane in Flagler Beach on the eastern side of the Intracoastal Waterway south of State Road 100, Moody Public Boat Launch provides convenient access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats to this protected waterway. The facility includes a public boat ramp, picnic areas, and educational pavilions, making it a well-developed launching point for exploring the coastal waters.
The launch offers excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing and paddling through salt marsh and estuarine environments. The adjacent Betty Steflik Preserve and Flagship Harbor Preserve showcase the region's salt marsh and coastal scrub habitats, providing scenic paddling with opportunities for bird watching and nature observation. The site includes boardwalks and observation platforms overlooking the salt-water marsh, giving paddlers and boaters easy access to view the ecosystem before or after their outing.
This location serves as an ideal base for exploring the Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve, which encompasses approximately 55,000 acres of protected salt marsh and mangrove tidal wetlands.
