Moonshine Beach

Moonshine Beach Recreation Area offers a wide, well-maintained boat ramp providing convenient access to Table Rock Lake near Branson, Missouri. Located just north of Table Rock Dam, the facility features multiple launch lanes capable of accommodating several vehicles and boats simultaneously, making it ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and powerboaters. The area also includes public restrooms, showers, sheltered picnic areas, and a playground. Day-use fees are $5.00 per vehicle or $2.00 per person for walk-in access. Note that parking within the boat ramp lot for beach access is prohibited—use designated parking areas only.

Table Rock Lake itself is a large, scenic reservoir winding through the Ozark Mountains, offering plenty of protected water for paddling. The underlying White River is a major waterway (Stream Order 9) with significant flow, though the lake setting provides calmer conditions than the river below the dam. Paddlers can expect a range of water conditions depending on dam operations and seasonal variations. Soaking up the sun and cooling off in the bright blue waters of Table Rock Lake are the most popular activities at Moonshine Beach. For visitors looking to spend some time exploring the shore, the adjacent Dewey Short Visitor Center offers a hiking trail leaving from the grounds.

Table Rock Lakeshore Trail, about 2 miles long, runs from the Dewey Short Visitor Center to the Table Rock State Park Marina. During the spring hikers will see dogwood, serviceberry and redbud trees in bloom as well as many wildflower species. During the autumn months, visitors are treated to nature's colorful fall foliage. Moonshine Beach is the only sand swim beach at Table Rock Lake, and with the beach, a volleyball court, boat ramp and picnic area all provided, it's the perfect destination for large parties or family functions.Natural Features
