About This Access Site
The Moore Dam Visitor Center provides a boat ramp providing access to Moore Reservoir, New Hampshire's fourth-largest lake at approximately 3,500 acres. Located in Littleton, NH, this is one of four boat ramps on the New Hampshire side of the reservoir and offers a convenient launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The facility includes a porta potty and is situated near the massive 178-foot Moore Dam, which impounds the Connecticut River to create this expansive water body.

Moore Reservoir is ideal for flat-water paddling and recreational boating. The reservoir spans across the Connecticut River valley, bordered by New Hampshire (Littleton and Dalton) and Vermont (Waterford and Concord). The surrounding area is publicly accessible land owned by TransCanada. Note that the Connecticut River below Gilman Dam upstream is too shallow for motorized boating until reaching the reservoir. Nearby amenities include lodging, restaurants, and campgrounds in the surrounding communities, though the visitor center itself has no boat rental or bait shop services.
