Moore Park Marina #2 is a public boat ramp providing access to Upper Klamath Lake, Oregon's largest freshwater body west of the Rockies. Located in Klamath Falls near the Link River Bridge (accessible via Oregon Avenue/Lakeshore Drive), this facility accommodates both motorboats and paddlecraft. The marina complex includes docking facilities and amenities for day-use visitors and boaters.
**Important Regulations:** All motorboat operators must maintain "slow—no wake" speeds within 100 feet of the marina entrance. East of a line running from the Moore Park pumphouse north to Pelican Marina, motorboat speeds are limited to 10 MPH. These restrictions help protect the ecosystem of this large, shallow lake system. Check current water quality advisories before paddling, as the Oregon Health Authority periodically issues recreational use advisories for Upper Klamath Lake and the adjacent National Wildlife Refuge.
The lake offers excellent fishing for world-class Red Band Trout, and nearby Klamath Hills Recreation Area provides opportunities for viewing wildlife including eagles and waterfowl. Paddlers should be prepared for the expansive open water—with the lake stretching nearly 30 miles long and up to 8 miles wide—and check conditions before launching.
