About This Access Site
The Moose Lake boat ramp is located on the southeast shore of Moose Lake off Moose Lake Road in Carlton County and provides excellent public access for kayakers, canoeists, and small to medium-sized motorboats. The facility features a double concrete ramp with a center dock, making launches and landings straightforward for various watercraft types. This is also the staging area for the park's boat, canoe, and kayak rentals—stop at the park office to arrange rentals or check-out equipment.

Moose Lake offers clear water ideal for paddling and is part of the scenic Moose Horn River system. Anglers can expect to find musky, walleye, and bass in the lake's 284 acres. A sandy beach nearby provides additional recreational opportunities. The calm lake conditions and accessible ramp make this a good starting point for paddlers of varying skill levels looking to explore the Moose Lake Chain. Note that BWCAW regulations apply to this area, so paddlers planning extended trips should review current regulations before heading out.
