Moose Pond

Moose Pond is a multi-basin lake accessible via public boat ramps located off Route 302 in West Paris. The pond is divided into two sections by Route 302, with both basins connected by water passage under the bridge, allowing paddlers to explore the entire pond. The larger northern basin near Shawnee Peak is more exposed to wind and typically experiences choppier conditions, while the southern basin offers a quieter paddling experience. Both sections are suitable for kayaks and canoes, though the northern basin accommodates larger motorboats.

Paddlers should note that the ramp location off Route 302 provides access to both basins, with additional access points available off Denmark Road in the southern basin.
