Moosehead Lake

The launch is situated at Moosehead Lake Camp, a first-come, first-served campground facility where you can access the ramp directly from the property. Moosehead Lake Camp operates on a first-come, first-served basis—simply arrive at the location to secure a camping spot and pay via QR code through the Recreation.gov mobile app when available. Several other reservable campgrounds are located within 10 miles if you prefer advance booking. With its deep waters and substantial size, Moosehead Lake is well-suited for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats seeking a remote northwoods paddling destination.
