Morro Bay Public Launch Facility

The Morro Bay Public Launch Facility provides easy access to the sheltered waters of Morro Bay for kayakers, canoeists, and small boat owners. The single-lane boat ramp is located at the southern end of the Embarcadero in Morro Bay, just steps from public parking and a boat rinse station.

Morro Bay is a large, calm estuary surrounded by scenic hills and the iconic Morro Rock. The bay offers miles of protected waterways to explore by small boat, with excellent wildlife viewing opportunities for birds, otters, and other marine life. Launching here provides convenient access to the bay, while avoiding the open ocean swells outside the harbor.

There is no fee for launching at this public facility, though parking does have a charge. Boaters should always carry a working VHF radio or cell phone, and can use the on-site freshwater rinse station to clean off their vessels after their time on the water. With its easy launch access and beautiful natural setting, the Morro Bay Public Launch Facility is an excellent option for paddlers and small boaters visiting California's Central Coast.
