About This Access Site
Moutardier is a well-developed day-use access point on Nolin River Lake in Leitchfield, Kentucky, offering convenient launch facilities for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. Located at the end of KY 2067 (north of Brownsville on KY 259), the site features a boat ramp, courtesy docks, fishing piers, restrooms, and picnic tables. The facility is adjacent to Moutardier Marina, where you can rent boats, purchase supplies, fuel, and bait. There is no fee for day-use access, though group shelters are available by reservation.

Nolin River Lake is a large, scenic reservoir known for excellent fishing opportunities, particularly for catfish, bass, crappie, and walleye. The lake's distinctive blue/green water and surrounding greenery make it a popular destination, with notably low drowning rates due to well-maintained safety standards. If you're interested in paddling the actual river, the Tailwater Day Use Area below the dam on the Nolin River offers an alternative launch point with its own boat ramp and amenities.
