Mud Cove Beach offers convenient access to Lake Travis via a dedicated boat ramp suitable for kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddleboards. Located in Lago Vista on the north side of the reservoir, this small, easy-to-reach park features a gently sloping waterfront that makes launching straightforward for paddlers of all skill levels. The site provides access to the popular basin area of Lake Travis and connects to other Travis County Parks around the reservoir.
The park is operated by the Lower Colorado River Authority and Travis County Parks, and is open year-round for day use. Amenities include picnic areas and designated swim zones in addition to the water access. Be aware that entrance and/or launch fees may apply. This location serves as a good starting point for exploring the broader Lake Travis area, with multiple parks and recreational opportunities available throughout the reservoir system.
