Muddy Bayou

Muddy Bayou offers public boat ramp access located in Iberville Parish, LA, via a new asphalt road on the west side of Highway 71 (4.5 miles north of the Highway 71/Highway 1 split). Turn east onto Oakwood Bottoms Road and travel 3.5 miles to reach the launch. The site is situated within the Oakwood Bottoms area and provides access to a bayou system typical of south-central Louisiana's slowmoving, scenic waterways.

This access point serves kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters exploring the local bayou environment. The location benefits from improved drainage infrastructure designed to support better road conditions during heavy rainfall.
