About This Access Site
Located on Elliott Point at the northwest side of Mukilteo Lighthouse Park, this City of Mukilteo-operated facility offers a four-lane boat ramp providing access to Possession Sound. The launch can accommodate three to four boats simultaneously, depending on vessel size, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. Note that boat launch parking permits are required—allow 3-5 days for the City of Mukilteo to process your application before launching.

The park itself features about 1,500 feet of sandy beach and includes a historic lighthouse, shoreline walkway, and ample parking. The site offers relatively calm water access to Possession Sound, making it convenient for recreational paddling and boating. With its historical significance—including nearby signing of the 1855 Point Elliott Treaty and a visit by Captain George Vancouver's naturalist in 1792—the park combines functional water access with scenic appeal and local heritage.
