The site is located off Murray Landing Road on the flowage's mid-lake eastern section.

This access point is ideal for paddlers seeking a quieter experience—the eastern fifth of the flowage accessible from Murrays is designated as a quiet area, offering a more wilderness-oriented paddling experience away from motorboat traffic. The Turtle Flambeau Flowage is surrounded by dense forests and rolling terrain, providing scenic paddling in a natural setting. Murrays is one of six access points within the Turtle-Flambeau Scenic Waters Area, giving paddlers flexibility for trip planning and shuttle options.
