The Murry Creek Campground boat ramp provides easy access to Clarks Hill Lake, a massive 71,000-acre reservoir on the Georgia-South Carolina border. This public boat launch is part of the J. Strom Thurmond Lake recreation area managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
The boat ramp is located within the Murry Creek Campground, which offers 55 campsites with electrical hookups. Paddlers, kayakers, and small boaters will find the ramp convenient for launching onto the lake. Clarks Hill Lake is a popular destination for fishing, swimming, and recreational boating. Campsites, picnic areas, and other amenities are available nearby, making this an ideal spot for a day on the water or a weekend getaway.
Though the Murry Creek boat ramp is not reservable, it provides an excellent access point to explore the expansive Clarks Hill Lake. With its scenic shoreline and abundant wildlife, this reservoir offers plenty of opportunities for water-based activities and outdoor recreation.
