About This Access Site
Located in Freeland on South Whidbey Island, Mutiny Bay offers a convenient public boat launch with access to Admiralty Inlet and the surrounding waters. The Port of South Whidbey-managed facility features a boat ramp, ample parking for vehicles and trailers (located about 200 yards from the launch), and a sandy beach area. The site includes picnic tables, fire pits, restrooms, and scenic views of the Olympic Mountains, making it a good base for day trips or longer paddling adventures.

**Important Tidal Consideration:** This launch is **not usable at low tide**, so plan your visit around higher water levels. This location serves as a critical access point for the South Whidbey area—there are no other usable boat ramps between Bush Point and Cultus Bay—making it especially valuable for kayakers and canoeists exploring Admiralty Inlet and nearby waters. The 300-foot public park area offers additional amenities and space for launching and landing.
