The Neponset River extends 80 miles from its source, flowing through natural marshlands and freshwater wetlands as it makes its way to Boston Harbor. Paddlers should be aware that swimming is not consistently safe along the river. The area is popular for fishing and walking in addition to boating. Leashed dogs are permitted in the park.
