Located in McCormick County on the Little River arm of Lake J. Strom Thurmond (Clark Hill Reservoir), the New Bordeaux boat ramp provides convenient access to excellent fishing opportunities in the lake's productive backwaters. The ramp is well-maintained and operated year-round by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, making it a reliable launching point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. With 71,100 acres of surface water and an average depth of 37 feet, this is a substantial impoundment suitable for various paddling and boating activities.
