The New Haven access point provides a convenient launch location on the Rolling Fork River in Nelson County. To reach the ramp from Bardstown, take US 31E south, then turn right on KY 52 (0.8 mile), and follow signs left to the ramp. This is a good starting point for paddlers exploring this scenic section of the Rolling Fork.

**Important considerations for paddlers:** This 9.55-mile section of river has no bridges and limited road access, meaning you'll be in a remote area for much of your journey. Critically, there are **no public access takeout points** along this stretch—in some areas you'll be several miles from the nearest road. Plan accordingly and arrange shuttle transportation before launching, as exiting the river mid-trip may be extremely difficult or impossible. The remote nature of this section makes it essential to have a solid understanding of current conditions and your paddling abilities before committing to the full distance.
