New Hogan Lake offers a scenic setting for kayakers, canoeists, and boaters in the Sierra Nevada foothills east of Stockton. The lake has four public boat ramps located along the northern shore, providing easy access to the water.
Boating, water skiing, and kayaking are popular activities on the lake. The ramps have docks to assist with launching, and there is parking available near all the launch sites. Use of the boat ramps is included in the day-use fee for the Fiddleneck Day-use Area or the camping fee for nearby campgrounds like Oak Knoll, Deer Flat, and Acorn.
Surrounded by the rolling hills of Calaveras County, New Hogan Lake offers a peaceful and picturesque destination for paddlers and boaters. The lake's warm waters and miles of shoreline make it an ideal spot to explore by kayak, canoe, or motorized boat.
