The Fiddleneck boat ramp on New Hogan Lake provides convenient access for kayakers, canoeists, and power boaters. Four boat launch ramps are located on the north shore of the lake, with docks to assist in launching. Day-use fees or camping fees at the nearby Acorn Campground cover use of the ramps.
New Hogan Lake offers a scenic setting in the Sierra Nevada foothills, less than an hour east of Stockton. The lake's large surface area provides ample space for various water sports like skiing, wakeboarding, and jet skiing. It's also a popular destination for year-round fishing, with opportunities to catch species like striped bass, crappie, and catfish. Boaters can explore the lake's numerous coves and channels. While there are no marinas, the Fiddleneck Recreation Area offers the primary boat access points around the shoreline.
