The New Melones Lake Marina provides access to the sprawling New Melones Reservoir, the fourth largest lake in California. This boat ramp facility offers paved parking and launch ramps for kayakers, canoeists, and other small watercraft.
Boaters should be aware of the changing water levels on New Melones Lake throughout the year, which can create submerged hazards. The marina offers rental boats, a convenience store, and gas for your convenience. Launch fees apply, and a seal program is in place for same-day access. Call the marina at (209) 785-3300 to inquire about which of the three boat ramps (Angels Creek, Glory Hole, and Tuttletown) are currently open.
Nearby, the Red Hills Recreation Management Area offers day-use opportunities, so be sure to recreate responsibly and follow outdoor ethics when enjoying this public land. With its vast size and scenic setting, New Melones Reservoir provides a wonderful backdrop for paddling and boating adventures.
