Newark Pond is a 158-acre lake in Caledonia County offering public boat access via a concrete launch ramp. The pond has a maximum depth of 31 feet and accommodates small watercraft, including kayaks and canoes. This access point is suitable for paddlers of various skill levels seeking a moderately-sized freshwater paddling destination.
**Getting There:** From Lyndonville, head north on US Route 5 to West Burke, then turn right onto VT Route 5A. After 0.8 miles, turn right onto Newark Street and continue for about 5.8 miles before turning left toward Newark Pond. The launch area includes parking and a concrete ramp.
**Facilities & Planning:** There are no amenities or boat rentals at the ramp, so bring everything you need for your trip. The launch accommodates small boats and watercraft up to 16 feet in length. For additional paddling options, Bald Hill Pond's launch is located just beyond Newark Pond on a nearby dirt road.
