Newman Lake's primary public access site features a single concrete boat ramp with a boarding float, located on the northeastern shore of this popular Spokane County lake. The ramp is open year-round and requires a Washington State Discover Pass for use. The facility includes two parking lots (one with ADA-accessible stalls), restrooms with ADA facilities, and a fishing platform. This is a straightforward launch point suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats.
In addition to the public ramp, paddlers have several options around Newman Lake. The McKenzie Conservation Area also provides public shoreline access with a Discover Pass, and the Newman Lake Resort and Marine on the northeast shore (12515 N East Newman Lake Dr) offers private launch facilities, rentals, dock access, and amenities including a store and deli. A second resort launch is available on the south shore. Given the lake's popularity, arriving early on weekends is recommended, especially during peak fishing and boating seasons.
