Newton Lake Fish & Wildlife Area in Jasper County offers multiple boat ramp options for paddlers and boaters. The primary south access area features a two-lane boat ramp with an asphalt parking lot and accessible parking spaces, making it convenient for launching kayaks and canoes. An additional east boat ramp is also available with similar parking facilities. The site is located approximately 3 miles east of the Newton Lake entrance off Route 33, roughly 12 miles south of Dieterich.
Before visiting, be aware that waterfowl hunting occurs at Newton Lake seasonally. Hunters are required to use the east boat ramp for disembarking, and specific hunting regulations apply during certain periods.
