Newton Lake Fish & Wildlife Area offers a **two-lane boat ramp at the south access area**, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The site features asphalt parking lots with accessible parking spaces located at the park office and near the boat ramps. An additional east boat ramp is also available for water access.
**Getting There:** From I-57 and I-70, take exit #160 at Effingham and proceed east on Route 33 to Dieterich. Turn right at the stop light and continue south approximately 12 miles. Turn left at the Newton Lake Entrance sign and go east about 3 miles to reach the access area.
**Important Notes:** This is a Fish & Wildlife Area, so hunters use the facility seasonally. Contact the site office for specific hunting regulations and access rules that may affect your visit.
