About This Access Site
Nobleton Park offers convenient access to the scenic Withlacoochee River, a 13-mile paddling destination that winds through Withlacoochee State Forest. Located at 29061 Lamkin Drive in Hernando County, this 2-acre park features a boat ramp suitable for launching canoes, kayaks, and small motorboats. The facility includes amenities such as a picnic shelter, picnic tables, and a basketball court, making it a good option for families or group outings.

The Withlacoochee River ("crooked river" in the Seminole language) offers a scenic paddle through protected forest. Paddlers should be aware that the river eventually becomes blocked past Nobleton Park, though the Withlacoochee Barge Canal provides an alternative route to reach the Gulf of Mexico (approximately 6.5 miles further). If continuing downriver, be cautious around the US 19 bridge, as motorboat traffic increases in that area.
