Nodaway Valley Conservation Area offers a boat ramp and fishing access along the Nodaway River in northwest Missouri. Located near New Point in Holt County, this 3,881-acre conservation area provides paddlers and boaters with facilities including a boat ramp, a disabled-accessible fishing jetty, and a privy. The area is open to public use from 4:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily, though boat launching and landing are permitted 24 hours a day where allowed.
To reach the access area from Maryville, take Highway 148 north for approximately 5.5 miles. This location serves as a convenient launch point for exploring the Nodaway River and is situated among other regional access points, including Jentell Brees access to the south and Nodaway Island access to the north. The area is well-suited for both boaters and anglers, with excellent shore fishing opportunities available along the river in addition to boat-based recreation.
