About This Access Site
The Nonesuch River Boat Ramp is a public launch facility located in Scarborough, Cumberland County, providing access to the Nonesuch River for kayakers, canoeists, and small boats. To reach the ramp, head south on Route 1 to the Oak Hill area (intersection of Routes 1 and 114), then turn left onto Black Strap Road. Continue onto Black Point Road (Route 207) for approximately 1.5 miles, then turn right onto Clay Pit Road and follow it to the end where the public boat launch is located.

This access point serves as a gateway to paddling opportunities on the Nonesuch River and surrounding waters. The site includes a parking area near the launch. Paddlers should note that there are additional carry-in access points available on ME-9 with small parking areas, making this location part of a broader network of river access in the area. Before launching, check local conditions and any current regulations or seasonal restrictions that may apply to the Nonesuch River.
