About This Access Site
North Gorge Campground offers a convenient boat launch and dock for accessing Franklin D. Roosevelt Lake near Kettle Falls, WA. The facility features a 1,280-foot boat ramp at the lower end of the campground, along with an on-site dock. This is a reservation-only campground ($23/night through Recreation.gov), with a weekly boat launch fee of $10 or annual pass for $60. The campground sits in a pine grove on the lake's edge and can get busy during summer weekends, so plan accordingly.

The site provides basic amenities for boaters and paddlers, though services are limited—there is no potable water or hookups at the campsites themselves. However, the nearby Evans Day Use Area (just south of the campground) offers additional facilities including flush toilets, cold showers, and picnic areas. The lake supports good fishing for rainbow trout, and activities include boating, water skiing, and swimming. Note that campsites are small and designed primarily for tent camping rather than large RVs.

**Getting There:** From Spokane, take WA-395 north for 70.3 miles to Kettle Falls, then WA-25 north for 17.3 miles and follow signs to the campground on the west side of the highway. For reservations and launch fee payment, visit Recreation.gov or pay.gov as directed.
