Located a few miles north of Sinclair, Wyoming along the road to Seminoe Reservoir, the Dugway Ramp is a BLM primitive day-use area and campground offering a well-developed access point to the North Platte River. The site features an improved boat ramp, parking area, and modern comfort station, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and other boaters looking to launch on this substantial river. Approximately 1/16th mile of river access is available for fishing and floating.
The main facilities are situated on a hill a couple hundred yards above the river, so be prepared for a short walk to reach the water with your boat or gear. This access point is ideal for those planning to float the North Platte, which offers diverse scenery and fishing opportunities across south-central Wyoming. The nearby Dugway Campground and Dugway Recreation Site (with 5 campsites and group facilities) provide convenient overnight options for paddlers planning multi-day trips. The area serves as a gateway to the scenic Seminoe-Alcova Back Country Byway region.
