North Twin Lake

The North Twin Lake access site in Trego provides public boat launch access to a 98-acre lake in Washburn County with a maximum depth of 20 feet and moderately clear water. This is an ideal location for kayakers and canoeists seeking a smaller, more sheltered paddling experience. The boat ramp accommodates various watercraft and serves as a convenient entry point for day trips and recreational paddling on the lake.

The lake supports a healthy fishery including walleye, northern pike, largemouth bass, and panfish, making it popular with anglers as well as paddlers. Water access is seasonal, typically available from March through October. Paddlers should note that the lake may have motorized boat traffic, so staying aware of other users is recommended. The site's location in the Trego area provides access to a quieter alternative to the larger North Twin Lake (2,871 acres) also in the region.
