About This Access Site
Norway Point provides public boat launch access to North Twin Lake in northeastern Minnesota, located approximately 7 miles south of Hoyt Lakes via Forest Road 130/Mooseline Road (a one-lane gravel road). The launch facility is situated in a scenic area with a picnic area available for visitors. This is an unmanned, non-reservable access point suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters.

North Twin Lake is a 239-acre water body with a maximum depth of 42 feet, making it suitable for various paddling activities. The lake supports populations of northern pike, walleye, smallmouth bass, and pan fish, attracting both anglers and recreational boaters. If you don't have your own equipment, the iPaddlePort equipment-sharing station at nearby Twin Lakes Boat Launch offers kayak and stand-up paddleboard rentals.

Access to Norway Point is via a gravel forest service road, so plan accordingly for vehicle conditions, especially during wet weather. Be prepared for a remote setting and bring supplies as amenities are limited to basic picnic facilities.
