Norway Lake is a 515-acre lake in Cass County with a maximum depth of 12 feet, offering a scenic paddling and boating destination in Minnesota's lake country. This public access point is located near the Pine River inlet on the north shore of the lake. Be aware that parking is limited at this location, so plan accordingly, especially during peak season. The southwest bay also has another public access point if this site is crowded.
This is a primitive access site with no amenities—restrooms and potable water are not available. There is no designated boat ramp at this location, making it most suitable for canoes, kayaks, and other hand-launched watercraft. To reach the access site, turn onto Forest Route 388 and drive 4.4 miles. Before visiting, confirm current conditions and parking availability, as the limited facilities and parking make this best suited for paddlers seeking a quieter, less-developed access point rather than motorized boaters.
