About This Access Site
The Notrebes Bend Recreation Area provides direct access to the Arkansas River, a major waterway that flows for over 1,200 miles across the state. The boat ramp at this Corps of Engineers facility is located on the left descending bank of the river, just downstream from the Wilbur D. Mills Dam.

The Arkansas River in this area is classified as a major river, with a total elevation drop of over 9,500 feet and an average flow rate of over 51,000 cubic feet per second. The river's slope averages 7.9 feet per mile, making it a popular destination for boating and paddling. Anglers can fish for a variety of gamefish, including largemouth bass, crappie, bream, and catfish, both from the riverbanks and by launching boats from the Notrebes Bend ramp.

The recreation area also features a campground with 30 campsites, restrooms, and a trailer dump station, providing overnight options for visitors to the area.
