About This Access Site
**Location & Launch:** Oak Grove State Park in Hawarden, Iowa offers a dedicated boat ramp for launching onto the Big Sioux River. The park is situated at 4051 Cherry Ave and spans 101 acres of state land within a larger 573-acre combined park facility, making it a well-developed access point for paddlers and motorboaters.

**Amenities & Services:** This is a full-service paddling destination. Kayak and canoe rentals are available by reservation if you don't have your own watercraft. The park provides excellent support facilities including two campgrounds (Deer Run and Turkey Ridge with electrical hookups), seasonal cabins, dump stations, water refill, picnic shelters, and fishing access. A nature center is currently under development. The park also offers hiking trails and opportunities for wildlife viewing.

**Getting Started:** For canoe and kayak rental reservations, boat ramp access information, or campground details, contact the administration office at **712-552-1047** (Monday–Friday, 8 am–4:30 pm).
