About This Access Site
Located in Baker County's Osceola National Forest, Hog Pen Landing provides a concrete boat ramp approximately 16 feet wide for accessing the scenic 176-acre Ocean Pond. The ramp accommodates small to medium-sized watercraft, making it ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and fishing boats. The calm, lake-like conditions are perfect for paddlers seeking a peaceful paddling experience, with opportunities to observe wildlife like great blue herons.

Ocean Pond Campground is situated directly at this access point, offering 64 campsites with 7 available for advance reservation through Recreation.gov (phone: 386-752-577) and the remaining available first-come, first-served. Note that cash is not accepted; reservations and SCAN & PAY sites require payment through Recreation.gov's website or app. The campground is open 24 hours daily and provides waterfront camping options for those planning extended paddling trips.

To reach Hog Pen Landing from Lake City, Florida, head east on US Highway 90 for approximately 14 miles, then turn north on CR 250/FR 266 for about 4 miles, and follow FR 268 to the campground entrance.
