Oconomowoc

The Oconomowoc access site provides public boat launch facilities on the southern shore of Lac La Belle, accessible from W. Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Oconomowoc. The City Park location features multiple concrete ramps suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. Limited street trailer parking is available near the launch area. A dedicated ADA-accessible canoe/kayak launch has been added to the site, along with an ADA-compliant ramp connecting parking to the docks and restrooms, making this site accessible for paddlers of varying abilities.

Lac La Belle is a substantial 1,164-acre lake with a maximum depth of 45 feet and moderately clear water conditions. The lake offers good paddling opportunities for both casual recreational outings and more serious water sports. In addition to the boat launch, the Oconomowoc Community Center nearby offers short-term pier parking, canoe and kayak rentals, and restroom facilities. The downtown location provides convenient access to local amenities and services for boaters. Note that Lac La Belle is state-owned and open to public use.
