Odlin County Park is a San Juan County facility located on Lopez Island, just one mile from the Lopez Ferry Landing, offering a convenient launching point for exploring Upright Channel and the surrounding San Juan Islands. The park features a grooved concrete boat ramp with sandy conditions at times, daytime trailer parking, a half-mile sandy beach, day-use dock, mooring buoys, and full campground facilities. This sandy bay provides a welcome contrast to the rocky shores typical of the San Juan Islands.
**Practical Tips:** Plan your launch around high tide, as the concrete ramp becomes exposed at low tide. Bring a shovel, as sandy conditions can occasionally make launching challenging. The location offers excellent views across Upright Channel toward Shaw Island and provides access to popular paddling and boating routes to Friday Harbor. The park includes picnic areas, hiking paths, and ADA-accessible facilities, making it suitable for both day trips and overnight camping.
