**Location & Facilities:** Ogontz Bay offers developed public boat access on Lake Michigan's Big Bay de Noc near Saint Jacques in Delta County. The site features a paved ramp with a wooden dock managed by the Fish and Wildlife Service. Access is compact at less than 50 yards, making it a straightforward launch point.
**Launch Conditions & What to Expect:** Boaters launch into the narrow, shallow Big River before reaching the bay proper. Kayakers and canoeists should keep their vessels trimmed up given the river's shallow draft. The distance to open bay is short, making this an excellent access point for reaching the northern end of Big Bay de Noc. Early morning fishing is popular, particularly along the reed beds near the launch, though open bay areas also attract boaters.
**Nearby Services:** Flowing Well Campground is available within 10 miles for those planning overnight trips to the area.
