About This Access Site
This public boat ramp on the southern shore of Okauchee Lake in Oconomowoc provides convenient access to a 1,210-acre freshwater lake suitable for kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, and motorboats. The ramp is well-established and popular, so expect it to be busy during peak seasons. The lake offers varied depths, ranging from shallow bays and channels to a maximum depth of 90 feet, giving paddlers options for different skill levels and exploration preferences.

Okauchee Lake supports a healthy fishery with musky, panfish, largemouth and smallmouth bass, northern pike, and walleye—making it popular with anglers as well as recreational paddlers. Before heading out, check wind conditions, which can affect paddling comfort on this moderately sized lake. Note that parking can fill up quickly during busy times, so consider visiting during off-peak hours if possible. Multiple boat landings around the lake provide alternative access points if the main ramp is congested.
