Located near Coldspring on Lake Livingston, the Old 224 Road access site offers a convenient launching point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats on this large impoundment of the Trinity River. To reach the ramp, take Texas 156 north from Coldspring for approximately 1 mile, then turn right on Highway 224 and continue 5 miles to the marina. The facility features two 2-lane boat ramps suitable for various vessel types.

**Practical Information:** There is a $4 vehicle entry fee (with an additional $1 per-person charge). The ramp is operated by the Trinity River Authority and is closed December through January. Lake Livingston is a large reservoir offering relatively calm, protected paddling compared to the free-flowing Trinity River, making it suitable for paddlers of varying skill levels.
