About This Access Site
Located near Huron on Lake Whitney in Hill County, this access site offers a convenient launch point for paddlers and boaters. The park features a 2-lane boat ramp suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorized vessels, with ample parking available. Day-use fees are charged seasonally (April-September), and the ramp is open year-round. To reach the park from Whitney, take FM 933 north and turn left on FM 1713 Spur; the park is located at the end of the road.

Lake Whitney offers excellent paddling opportunities with three public boat ramps and a dedicated canoe/kayak launch throughout the recreation area, giving you multiple access points to explore. The lake is part of a large recreation complex managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, with 10 Corps parks in the area plus additional facilities. For current information, fees, and water conditions, contact the Whitney Lake District office at (254) 622-3332. Note that cash is no longer accepted at USACE-operated facilities—plan to pay by card.
