Old Hwy 33 provides public boat access to Lake D'Arbonne near Farmerville in Union Parish. This ramp offers a straightforward launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and recreational boaters exploring the lake. Parking is available along the roadside and near the boat launch facility.
Be aware of important regulations: no fishing is permitted within 50 feet of the ramp, no overnight camping is allowed at the launch site, and no fires of any kind are permitted. Access is not available from sunset to sunrise. Lake D'Arbonne features numerous stumps and submerged obstacles, so paddlers should navigate carefully, particularly in unfamiliar areas. If you prefer additional amenities and facilities, Lake D'Arbonne State Park operates a fee-based boat ramp and parking area with improved services nearby.
