The lake sits within a 274-acre commonwealth-owned recreation area and offers a convenient launching point for kayakers, canoeists, and other boaters. Before launching, be aware that all unpowered boats (including kayaks and canoes) must be registered or display a current launch permit. Innertubes and swim aids are not permitted on the water.
