About This Access Site
Located on the banks of Copan Lake in northeastern Oklahoma (approximately 15 miles northeast of Ponca City), this boat ramp provides convenient access to over 4,850 acres of water impounded on the Little Caney River. The ramp is situated within Post Oak Park, a U.S. Corps of Engineers facility managed for recreation. From Highway 75, take Highway 10 west for 3 miles to reach the access point. The site offers year-round, free access for boaters and paddlers.

Copan Lake is well-suited for recreational boating and fishing, with populations of largemouth bass, white crappie, and catfish. The lake and surrounding area support kayaking, canoeing, camping, and picnicking. While ADA accessibility is not available at this facility, amenities and services can be found in nearby Copan, including Copan Bait & Tackle (918-331-6639). For additional information about the facility, contact the managing office at 918-532-4334. The combination of free access and lakefront location makes this a practical option for paddlers and boaters exploring Oklahoma's Green Country.
