Located in Powell along the Scioto River, the O'Shaughnessy Reservoir boat ramp provides convenient access to this 18.4-mile shoreline impoundment. The reservoir features maximum depths exceeding 40 feet near the dam, with most areas 20 feet or shallower, making it suitable for various paddling and boating activities. An improved boat launch is available on the east side of the lake off County Road 131, with additional gravel ramps located at Twin Lakes, Home Road, and Bellepoint areas along State Route 257.
**Water Use Rules:** Skiing and wakeboarding are permitted on the reservoir. However, jet skis, tubing, and swimming are prohibited in any City of Columbus reservoir. There are no horsepower restrictions. Paddlers and boaters should plan their visits accordingly and check current conditions before launching.
**Nearby Recreation:** The surrounding area offers excellent opportunities, including the O'Shaughnessy Nature Preserve, Jeffrey Scioto Park, Delaware Lake, and Alum Creek Lake. These nearby resources make the location attractive for a full day of outdoor recreation in the Delaware County area.
