O'Shaughnessy Reservoir offers convenient access to this 18.4-mile shoreline impoundment on the Scioto River, featuring concrete boat ramps on both the east and west shores. The marina launch point on the east shore provides the primary access, with additional ramps available in the Twin Lakes area on the west side. Maximum depth exceeds 40 feet near the dam, though most of the reservoir averages 20 feet or less, making it suitable for various watercraft.
This City of Columbus reservoir permits water skiing and wakeboarding but prohibits jet skis, tubing, and swimming. The surrounding area offers additional recreation at O'Shaughnessy Nature Preserve and Jeffrey Scioto Park. Nearby Delaware Lake and Alum Creek Lake provide alternative paddling and boating opportunities within the region. Access points are distributed along State Route 257, including designated parking areas at Home Road and in the Bellepoint area, giving paddlers multiple entry and exit options for different routes.
